Hey guys! How's your day going? I've been a bit busier then normal, but things will slow down in a bit. Busy season is just upon me and I'm not going to let it get to me. Anyways, today was a special day. I was introduced to the Venom series haha. Don't come at me since I haven't watched the first two. Anyways, Movie of the Day: Venom: The Last Dance!
Eddie Brock (played by Tom Hardy) is back for his final installment of the Venom series and this time, he's making his way to New York except he ends up taking a detour with his buddy, Venom (voiced by Tom Hardy) and ends up at Area 51. In his adventure though, he not only runs into the army since he is a fugitive but he meets an interesting family who are on their way to see some aliens. At the same time, Eddie learns he and Venom hold something very important for a being from Venom's world, so he's got to do his best to stay alive no matter what the cost.
Yes. I know. How can I watch this movie without watching the other two? I was told each movie holds their own story, so I entered the theater with an open mind. However I was a bit confused on why Eddie was in Mexico in the beginning, so I know what is next on my to watch list. But despite the little confusion, I was able to follow the movie perfectly... kind of. First off, I didn't know there were others like Venom so that was a surprise. I also didn't know you could just sneak onto Area 51, but I'm not going to get ahead of myself because there were a few questionable moments in the movie that made me just enjoy the simplicity of it. I am quite glad I got to see this film in theaters though, because with all the action and violence, why not experience it on the big screen? I was also told this franchise is part of the Marvel universe, so that was another surprise. I am curious how they're going to incorporate these characters with the others but I guess I just have to wait and see. All in all, not a bad movie to watch in theaters. Just make sure to watch the previous movies otherwise you might be a little confused.
Rated PG-13 for language, violence, action, and intense scenes
My Rating: B-
